Fun weekend ahead

Got a busy weekend ahead.  Just been invited out to the Blues vs Chiefs rugby game at Eden Park tomorrow by one of Steve's clients.  Have met him before, as he went on our company fishing trip in December.  I think it'll be fun.  Might very well be my first ever time at a live rugby game!  I know, shocker for a Kiwi!  I've been to amateur rugby games of course, Dad played every weekend for years, but never to a professional level game.  Will be fun.

While I'm confessing, I don't think I've ever been to a professional level netball game either (despite playing it myself for a number of years), but I have seen the Black Caps play cricket.

I was sort of tossing up when Steve asked me, and then I thought 'Fuck it, I should go and have fun!  Who cares whether I follow rugby or not, it'll be a good night out.'  So I said yes.  :D  Besides, Steve was going to go regardless and if he went out Friday night, then I went out Saturday night, we wouldn't barely get to see each other all weekend!  Apparently we're meeting at a pub at 6:30.  That'll be a stretch for me, as I usually get home bang on 6:30.  Might be able to squeak out a little early...

Saturday, Caitie has gymnastics testing, and then she and I are going out with Dad, my sister, my mother-in-law, a friend of Dad's and two friends from work.  It's at the Swanson RSA and there'll be a live band playing ABBA songs.  Joe Cotton is in the band.  Should be a hoot.  I'm looking forward to it.  :D
